Healthcare professionals, including doctors, dentists and nurses, are required to undertake annual CPR refresher training.

All healthcare workers such as health visitors, dental assistants, practice receptionists etc will benefit from learning emergency resuscitation procedures.

The aim of this course is to enable all participants to deal effectively with an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing. We teach the correct protocols and procedures to use when dealing with a life-threatening cardiac arrest.

A three-hour course consisting of theory and practical work.

A range of subjects is covered including:

• Arriving at the scene
• Casualty assessment
• Top-to-toe survey
• Recovery position
• Resuscitation
• Hygiene control

Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course and issue a Certificate of Attendance.
